Senior Web/React Developer

Backed by a team with nearly a decade of blockchain experience, our client is trusted by 3.5 million monthly active users and secures digital assets worth over $20 billion. The company remains largely independent, with 88% of ownership retained by its founders and core team. Following a recent funding round that raised over $9 million, our client continues to chart an independent path toward redefining the crypto wallet experience.
The company’s primary business objective is clear—to surpass Phantom and become the leading Solana wallet worldwide. From a product perspective, the goal is to deliver a crypto experience comparable to Revolut, uniting seamless functionality with a refined and intuitive user interface.
With a team of 80 professionals across Croatia and Serbia, our client is actively expanding across all departments. By year’s end, the company expects to exceed 100 employees, further solidifying its role as a major force in the global blockchain ecosystem.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee & Report on Technical Performance: Keep a pulse on team output through pair programming, code reviews, and design reviews.
• Simplify Complexities: Document tricky areas and teach your team how to navigate them.
• Boost User Satisfaction: Monitor real-world performance and aim for top App/Play Store standings.
• Optimize Performance & Resilience: Ensure the app runs smoothly on a wide range of devices and remains stable even with imperfect data.
• Accelerate Development: Implement and champion best practices that speed up feature development.
• Balance Technical Debt & Pragmatism: Make thoughtful choices that enable both quick wins and long-term stability.
• Enable QA Automation: Structure the codebase and expose app components so automated testing can thrive.

EXPECTATIONS IN FIRST 90 DAYS:

• There’s a meaningful improvement in our awareness of user’s woes, through significantly improved tracking
• The team has new levers they can pull to speed up shipping and experimenting, as well as a safety net that allows them to pull a plug on unsuccessful experiments

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

• BSc Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of web experience, 4+ of working with react
• Experience with working on apps that have 100k+ DAU
• Clear Communication: You can explain complex ideas in plain language.
• Deep React & TS/JS Expertise: You’re at home with React architectural patterns.
• Web Standards: Intimate familiarity with web standards.
• Security Mindset: Familiarity with secure storage, encryption, OWASP, and general web security best practices.
• Performance Tuning: Experience with profiling, optimization, and handling large volumes of data.
• Scalable Codebase Design: You know how to structure a project so multiple teams can contribute without chaos.
• CI/CD & Distribution: Skill in building pipelines for automated builds, tests, and streamlined release processes.
• Dependency Management: You’re fluent in managing libraries and keeping everything tidy in Git.
• Constructive Code Reviews & Mentoring: You foster growth through clear feedback and 1:1 guidance.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Crypto experience (Solana)
• Cloud Services Familiarity: Experience with AWS, Firebase, or equivalent.
• Agile Methodologies: Understanding or hands-on experience with sprints, standups, and iterative development.
• Leadership & Motivation: You excel at building trust and inspiring teammates to do their best work.
