KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing structures and solutions for components of electric powertrain
- Performing FEM analyses under different homologation standards and interpreting results
- Interacting with other departments or suppliers to collect input data for simulation and model building
- Optimization and validation of structural parts and systems
- Participating in testing and analysing test data
- Providing suggestions and improvements after analysing simulation and/or experimental data
- Mentoring
- Writing technical documents, preparing presentations and communicating the results to customers
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in FEM analysis – vibrations, crush, shocks
- Experience with Simulia Abaqus
- Optional: experience with Ansys Mechanical and/or LS-Dyna
- Advanced knowledge of structural mechanics, material models, metals, composites, plastics,
- Commitment to project plan and promised deliverables
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Aerospace or similar field
- 5+ years of experience with FEM modelling
- Relevant experience in the Automotive or similar industries
- Considered as an advantage: relevant knowledge and experience with electric powertrain, batteries, cells and automotive standards
- Fluent spoken and written English
