Senior AI Data Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will have the opportunity to design and implement company wide data-oriented processes that will transport, organize and visualize vast amounts of multi-modal data. You will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of a tailored data platform, which will collect, analyze and retrieve data for the engineering and operations teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

Fundamental skills:

• Highly experienced in Python, with deep knowledge in data structures and algorithms
• Experience with asynchronous programming and memory-efficient data handling for large data formats (e.g. video data and point clouds)

Cloud infrastructure & data:

• Highly experienced in building and managing data infrastructure on AWS – data storage – S3, data lakes architecture and serverless processing (Lambda instances) are a must
• Highly experienced with data versioning data lineage frameworks, such as DVC, Pachyderm or LakeFS or similar (you have used them in production)
• Experience with IaC tools, such as Terraform, Pulumi or CloudFormation
• Experience with databases, such as SQLite, MongoDB, Cassandra
• Experience with large multi-modal datasets (video and images, audio, ..)

MLOps and Data Pipelines:

• Experience with data platforms, such as Apache Spark, Dagster, Airflow or Prefect
• Familiar with MLOps platforms, such as MLFlow, ClearML, ZenML, etc.
• You are familiar with CI/CD for data workflows

IDEALLY (but not a must)

• Experience with multi-modal data in Robotics
• Experience with streaming data and pre-selecting data on edge devices (eg. Jetson, Coral, NXP)
• Experience with synthetic data generation in Unity, Isaac Sim, or similar
• Experience with data and data monitoring visualization tools – Plotly, Grafana, Rerun
• Experience with ROS/ROS2 or other robotics frameworks
• Proficiency with telemetry data, such as robot logs

WHAT IS NOT A FOCUS (who we are not looking for)

• Focused on business analytics / BI tools
• Experienced exclusively in tabular or text data (such as marketing / sales data)
• You have not had production experience with visual data (videos / images etc.)
• Focused on C#, Java, Scala without significant Python experience
• No-code or low-code enthusiast working purely with GUI-based tools and configs
