KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Technical lead of multiple development teams in the creation of high-quality software
• Participation in creation of company strategy in your area of responsibility
• Work with other Heads of departments to fully understand the business processes and requirements
• Solving difficult and complex architecture and business problems, ensuring that projects are accurately estimated and delivered to schedule by simplifying, optimizing and removing bottlenecks
• Constant improvement and development of process, standards, policies and procedures
• Defining new roles/teams as the department grows
• Implementing team goals and objectives, leading projects to improve engineering, testing and operational excellence best practices of your team
• Planning on strategic and tactical level
• Budgeting in your area of responsibility
• Participation in recruiting in your area of responsibility
• Definition of on-boarding, as well as off-boarding procedures
• Proactively report and manage upwards to management and the business, so that they are well informed of the work currently in development
• Building a positive working environment for the team by inspiring and motivating them
• Making technical trade-offs between short-term team needs and long-term business needs

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science
• Proficiency in at least two and familiarity with all the following programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Kotlin and Swift
• Strong technical background and experience in algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis to ensure your team support, guidance and assistance
• Familiarity with object oriented, functional and reactive programming
• Experience in a variety of software development approaches and methodologies
• Affinity towards Big Data and IoT systems
