Full Stack Developer

Our client is a financial technology company that empowers corporations with real-time visibility into their cost of capital while streamlining communication with financing partners. Their platform is built for both corporate issuers and a range of financing institutions in the capital markets ecosystem.
With a mission to simplify the complex world of capital markets for all stakeholders, our client is transforming how capital-raising decisions are made. Headquartered in the New York City area, they are a fast-growing, VC-backed fintech company serving a portfolio of Fortune 500 corporate and banking clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As their Full Stack Developer, you will be an integral part of their technology team and report directly to their Senior Technical Lead.
• Develop new features and support existing code for Vue SPA + Laravel multi-user application
• Producing, maintaining and modifying the user interface
• Developing and incorporating new Client facing features into the the product
• Routinely testing the platform for ease of use, speed, and other quality factors
• Identifying and remediating any website issues or bugs which may arise
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
• Promote usability best practices

REQUIREMENTS:

• Extensive knowledge of Vue.js framework, (Vuex, Vue Router), SPA architecture, REST APIs
• Development experience with production grade SPAs
• Proven experience with HTML5, CSS3, adaptive layouts
• Understanding of basic principles of building complex UI/UX
• Working knowledge of PHP7, Laravel framework, MVC pattern
• Ability to write clean and maintainable code
• Experience with universal frontend testing tools like Jest, E2E testing tools (they use Cypress) and backend testing (they use PHPUnit)
• Basic knowledge of SQLWorking knowledge of git, docker, webpack

NICE TO HAVE:

• B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related field
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to show good communication, teamwork, and judgment skills
• The ability to work to tight deadlines under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Extensive knowledge of the principles of web-based technologies
