Business Development Manager

Our client is a Croatian multinational company with firms and representative offices across eight countries, exporting products to more than 40 markets worldwide. With over three decades of market presence and a workforce exceeding 5,000 employees.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
• Research and identify new business opportunities.
• Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
• Meet with customers/clients face-to-face or over the phone.
• Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
• Conduct research to identify customer needs.
• Foster and develop relationships with customers, clients, partners so that you can generate repeat business as well as finding new opportunities.
• Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these.
• Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business.
• Have a good understanding of the businesses’ products and be able to advise others about them.
• Discuss promotional strategy and activities with the sales and marketing team.
• Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
• Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
• Liaise with the supply chain.
• Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world.
• Help to plan sales campaigns.
• Create a sales pipeline.
• Increase sales of the business
• Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management.
• Cooperation in the development of a sales and marketing strategy.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

• Experience in the FMCG sector (at least 5 years).
• Market knowledge.
• Communication and negotiation skills.
• Proven sales track record.
• Proven working experience as a business development manager/ sales manager.
• Time management and planning skills.
• Experience in customer support is a plus.
• Monitoring and reporting of sales reports.
• Proficiency in German.
